The Event

  • The ceremony & reception will both take place at the Sequoia Mansion, 643 Bee St, Placerville, CA.

The ceremony will be held outdoors on the front lawn. The driveway leading to the lawn is paved and has a gentle slope, making it wheelchair accessible. We will provide assistance from the edge of the driveway to the chairs on the grass, if needed.

After the ceremony, cocktail hour will occur inside the mansion and out on the side patio.

The reception will take place inside the ballroom.

  • Yes! Free parking is available onsite.

There are about 30 spots for the wedding party and senior guests.

There are around 15 extra spots across the street, plus street parking.

Using Uber is a good choice, but please pre-schedule your pick-up, as getting one in Placerville can take a lot of work.

  • We will begin our ceremony promptly at 4:30 pm.

Please arrive early to allow time to say greetings and find a seat. We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early to get situated, but no more than 30 minutes early.

  • Daytime temperatures will be between 73 and 80 degrees, with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Evenings can cool to around 46 degrees, so a light jacket might be a good idea!

  • For attire, we kindly ask for semi-formal or cocktail looks.

Men might consider wearing a suit (a tie is optional!) or a dress shirt with a stylish sports jacket or blazer paired with chinos or suit pants.

Women can choose from a chic cocktail dress, a fashionable pantsuit, or elegant dressy separates.

  • We ask that you refrain from taking photos and having phones out during the ceremony.

Photos after the ceremony has concluded are highly encouraged!

We will be setting up an online album where photos can be uploaded.

  • After the ceremony, we’re thrilled to invite you to a cocktail hour with delicious appetizers and an open bar with well drinks, beer, and wine covered by us. If you’re in the mood for top-shelf spirits, those will be available for cash.

Dinner will be served buffet style right after the cocktail hour wraps up.

We want everyone to have a fantastic time, so here’s a friendly reminder to enjoy your drinks responsibly and pace yourself. Let’s keep the fun safe for everyone!

Don’t worry—non-alcoholic beverages will also be available, including soda, juice, coffee, and water.

  • Please indicate any dietary restrictions when completing your RSVP.

  • Please reach out to Amy Schwartz at 530 401-3973.
